• All our suppliers support their local communities

We’ve personally met every supplier we work with, ensuring their values align with ours. Each one is deeply committed to preserving traditional craftsmanship, passing time-honoured skills from generation to generation.

Our shared mission goes beyond the craft itself.  It's about supporting local communities to become self-sufficient through fair trade practices and sustainable livelihoods. By embracing eco-friendly methods such as upcycling materials, we help empower artisans, sustain traditional skills and ensure that the rich cultural heritage of India continues to thrive.

  • Opening Times

We are open the first Thursday of each month

    Thursday/Friday – 11am to 7 pm

If the opening times are not convenient then please call me to arrange a personal visit - Contact Claire – 07973 656319.

Only a four minute walk from the Crowborough town centre. I believe our showroom is perfect to display our products but the downside it has limited parking, so please walk and get a refreshing cup of coffee/tea when you get here.

  • Accessibility

We are extremely sorry but for your own safety and that of others; pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs are not allowed into the premises. It would be very difficult to manoeuvre them due to the narrow passageways. They could also potentially damage the antique furniture. This is because we purchased way too much stock so our gangways are currently very narrow.

No food or drinks can be taken into our showroom.

There is a limit of 18 people allowed in our showroom at any one time. If you arrive and there is 18 people in the showroom then sorry but you will have to wait until people leave or try another time.

  • How to look after your wooden furniture

To maintain and protect natural wood surfaces (non painted), begin by applying a thin, even layer of beeswax. It’s important to note that beeswax can cause slight colour variation, especially on lighter or untreated woods. Always test a small, inconspicuous area first if you're concerned about changes in tone.

For painted furniture and day-to-day care, a soft, dry cloth is ideal for cleaning. Gently wiping the surface will remove dust and minor debris without damaging the finish or requiring harsh chemicals. This simple maintenance routine will help your wood items retain their natural beauty and longevity.

  • How to look after your soft furnishings

To preserve the beauty, shape and longevity of your soft furnishings, we recommend that they be dry cleaned only. Dry cleaning helps maintain the integrity of delicate fabrics, preventing shrinkage, fading or damage that could occur with regular washing. This method ensures that the fine craftsmanship and rich textures of your pieces remain in perfect condition, allowing you to enjoy their timeless beauty for years to come.

  • How to look after your Indian miniature painting.

When displaying, avoid direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to light sources. Use UV-filtering glass or acrylic to protect the painting.

  • How to care for your leather bag

To care for leather bags, regularly clean them with a soft cloth or brush, blot away any moisture, and dry them naturally, away from heat. Apply leather conditioner every few months to keep the leather supple. Store bags in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight, and consider using a dust bag or cover to protect them from scratches.

  • Delivery Options

Delivery is an added cost to you which is why I am talking to numerous delivery companies. To make it cost effective for you, any delivery charges will be AT COST, we do not make any money from delivery charges. If the item is small enough to fit into my SUV then I will personally deliver it at no charge.

    The other delivery options I am discussing with various companies are;

    > The product can be managed by two people in a large van.

    > The product is very heavy, requiring four people and a tailgate lift onto the delivery van.

Alternatively, you can arrange your own delivery but we accept NO responsibility for this.

Cancelling an order before it is shipped

  • Interior Designers or an enthusiastic person

I am very keen to collaborate with interior designers, as well as private individuals seeking unique or handcrafted bespoke pieces. Some of these items can be quite large - such as a six-foot solid marble elephant - which I don’t stock due to its size. However, thanks to my extensive network of contacts in India, I can source and arrange such special items upon request.

If you have a specific enquiry or requirement, please don’t hesitate to get in touch as I’d be delighted to discuss how I can help.

  • Want to know anything about India

If you're thinking of travelling to India and would like some guidance, feel free to pop in for a coffee and a chat. I've toured extensively in the regions north of Mumbai and would be happy to share my experiences and insights.

Over the years, I've been on hundreds of safaris in India in search of the elusive tiger and the one-horned rhinoceros and I'm pleased to say I've had great success spotting both.

Whether it's advice on hotels, car hire, or tips from my personal travels, I’d be delighted to help make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.
